Privacy Policy

Privacy is very important to all of us and in the spirit of transparency this page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site, Cool Matters, LLC  (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operating at  http://www.CoolMatters.com (the “Site”).

We only use your Personal Information to help serve you better and improve the Site.   By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection And Use

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your email address, name, etc. (“Personal Information”).

Log Data

Like many site operators, we may collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”).  This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this information.  We may use your Personal Information to contact you with our newsletter or other information that we believe will be helpful to you.

However, you may unsubscribe or opt out of receiving such information at any time.

Our intent is that any information we share with you be (a)  something we sincerely believe could be helpful for you and (b) politely infrequent.  We have inboxes too and despise spam and excessive emails.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier.  Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive.  Like many sites, we may use “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.  However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site.

Affiliate Revenue Disclosures

Our philosophy is that if we offer enough value to you, you will be pleased and continue to use our site and we will profit from having you as member of the site (and hopefully a contributor of ideas and feedback), as well as financially via advertising and other revenue sources.

Affiliate revenues are commissions/ payments we receive from some companies you find on the site and from which you make purchases or transact in some other way.  We operate as a for profit business and this is one source of our revenues.

However, we will not bias the information or services we provide you to give an advantage to companies from which we may receive revenue.

For example, the search results on CoolMatters.com are presented in the order of relevance, regardless of any financial relationship we have with any company in those results. Some companies may pay us to provide you with additional information, such as sales, promotions and new products, but we will still present search results initially by relevance (you then have the option to reorder them to find companies with sales, or according to other criteria provided, as you prefer).

Any commissions or other income we receive from companies on the site will be paid by them, out of their revenues and at no additional cost to you.  You pay the same to them, whether we get a commission from them or not.
